STEAM HOLIDAY EVENT

Steam has been having a holiday event going on since December 19th.  Every day there are objectives for users to complete.  Most of these involve unlocking certain achievements within various games, but some of them are different --  there's one objective that has you complete a Steam trade with another person.  You receive a gift every time you complete an objective; a game, a coupon, or a piece of coal.  You're entered into the grand prize drawing once per piece of coal in your inventory.  The grand prize is every Steam game.  Alternatively, you can turn seven pieces of coal into another gift.

This event has been awesome for me so far.  I've received:
  • 3x Coal
  • 1x -25% Valve coupon
  • 1x -50% S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat coupon
  • 1x -60% Magicka coupon
  • Flight Control HD
  • Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga

I'll be receiving even more gifts in the future since the event is going on until December 31st.  I'm kind of thinking that they'll give us something extra on Christmas too, but I'm not sure about that.

Get in on this event if you haven't already, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone out there.

  1. Yeah, BusterDraco, coal is kind of disappointing. Maybe we'll win the grand prize or something though. You never know. :]
